The timber to be sold consists of all merchantable timber located within the sale area, consisting of 133 acres +/- of clean harvest and 30 acres+/- of hardwood SMZ. All sawtimber may be removed from SMZ while following state BMP guidelines. DDK foresters conducted a timber inventory in July 2025 by placing 1/10th acre plots on a 4x5 chain grid across the property. All trees within the plots were measured and recorded. In SMZ’s only sawtimber values were recorded. Ton values were estimated using a conversion factor of 54 pounds per cubic foot for pine and 58.5 pounds per cubic foot for hardwood. Sale boundaries are designated with pink flagging, and the SMZ’s are marked with blue paint and pink flagging.

Directions: This timber sale is located approximately 5 miles south of Dierks in part of SE ¼ lying south and east of RR, Section 15, Part of NE ¼ lying south and east of RR, part of SE ¼ NW ¼, part of NW ¼ SW ¼ Section 22, SW ¼ NE ¼ NW ¼, part of SW ¼ NW ¼ Section 23, Township 8 South, Range 29 West, Howard County, AR, 163 acres, more or less. From Dierks take Oak Hill Rd south approximately 5.4 miles to a double gate on west side of the road; go through gate and across pasture on gravel road approximately 0.35 miles to the property; the Sale Area can be accessed via improved woods road from the north and south end of sale area from this location.
